DIE HARD 4.0
An action-packed blockbuster. All the whizz-bang affects and stunts you could imagine, and some you probably never thought were possible and are glad a movie has made them seem almost plausable. Bruce Willis returns as Detective Sergeant John McClane trying to save his daughter and the US from computer hackers who are experts in showing us just how much we rely on computers to help us run our lives efficiently. Don't go if you want philisophical lines and intelligent scripts. Go if you want to switch off and watch some major action with a pretty in-shape Willis. Directed by Kate Beckinsales husband, Len Wiseman.
KNOCKED UP.

Starring the very likeable
Katherine Heigl from Grey's Anatomy and
Seth Rogen. It's about the hot blonde who works at E! and has a one-night-stand with slacker Ben Stone and winds up pregnant. It follows the journey of her pregnancy and their relationship. It has laughs and it has poignant moments and also one VERY graphic scene that won't budge you if you have kids, and will keel you over if you don't. She's great as the lead role, and it's nice too see a leading man who isn't your stereotypical good looking knight in shining armour. A little long in parts but worth seeing it JUST for that one scene everyone is talking about.

THE SIMPSONS MOVIE.
Expect quite a few laugh out loud moments with this one, although it does feel like you're watching a really long episode of the television show. No great special affects or punchy storyline. If you're a Simpsons fan it is a must see, otherwise wait until it comes out on DVD, and it's raining outside. (Thanks Anne-Marie for letting me go, and yes, cartoons are for kids.)
